Store Policy

The Empty Bobbin is committed to protecting your privacy and any information you share with our company. When you purchase something for our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address, and email address. Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.


Disclosure: We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.


The Empty Bobbin is dedicated to great customer service, which means getting you your order as quickly as possible. All orders are processed and shipped within 3 business days and you will receive an email as soon as its shipped. During any sale event, please expect it to take 4-6 business days due to the volume of orders. If you have any questions, please contact us.


Shipping within Canada: All standard orders are shipped via Canada Post and estimated delivery is between 4-7 business days. However, if you live in a remote area, you may experience longer wait times. If your order is small and eligible, it may be shipped by letter mail, please contact us before you order if you would like this option.


Shipping rates, before taxes and after discounts, are as follows:

$50 and under is $12.99
$50.01 - 150.00 is $16.99
$150.01 - 250.00 is $21.99
$250.00 and up is FREE!


For rushed orders, please contact us for upgraded shipping costs.


Any orders returned due to incorrect mailing address, will need to purchase a new shipping label for $19.95 (even if you received free shipping due to sale or amount spent). Once postage has been purchased, we will resend the package with your new tracking number.

Lost or Stolen Parcels: Please be aware that The Empty Bobbin does not reimburse for any lost or stolen parcels. We will gladly try and assist you in locating your items, but we do not take any responsibility for lost or stolen parcels once they are in the hands of the postal service.


Local Pick Up: For all our local customers in Swan River, MB, we do offer free local pick up. Simply choose ‘Local Pick Up” found at checkout. We will then email you once your order is ready.


Returns: If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact us within 3 days of receiving your order. You may then return it to us within 14 days of purchase to receive a refund for the fabric. You will however, not receive a refund for the shipping charges. Once the fabric has been returned, unused and in its original condition, you will then be contacted and a refund will be issued. The customer is responsible for the full cost of return shipping. Please ensure adequate packaging and that the product is not damaged in transit.


Unfortunately, the swatches the manufacturers provide are not always exact, but we do our best to ensure they come across as true to color as possible on our website and social media. If you are in need of color matching please feel free to email us.

If, however, we have made an error with your order, we will be happy to cover the costs of shipping it back to us. Please contact us as soon as possible so we are able to correct the mistake in a timely fashion. Your satisfaction is our biggest concern and we are here to make your fabric shopping a wonderful experience.
